Santiago
Well, here again, I´m back my dear fans, for you and for my English class, with the best teacher ever in the universe history!!
Now I´m gonna talk about Santiago, my city.
Santiago is the capital of Chile, located approximately in the coordinates 33°26´16¨ S, 70°39´01¨ O, and at an average meters above sea level. Santiago was fundated in 1541 by Pedro de Valdivia... so boring no?
Let´s talk about of the actually Santiago. Is a city so big in a valley, you can´t meet Santiago in a few days, you need take a long time to know the differnces in there. There are many interesting places, some modern , and others are olds.
To be the capital, we can find great things modern... modern is synonymous of capitalism, and in Stgo. We have the most capilaism monument (and falic) the Costanera Center, It is a big building with the biggest mall in Chile, It`s sucks!!!
But in the other corner, are other places, no moderns and no capitalism, like the Biblioteca Nacional, a nice place to study and concentrate. Museo de Historia Natural in The Quinta Normal Park, an interesting place to walk, think or simply stay.
The Parque O`Higgins, is other green place, is nice, and centric.
But in Santiago are many places where you can see the inequality and injustice of a in-human system, like the "poblaciones", this are a little cities in the big urban place, where live people with poor conditions of life, they are stigmatized for the delincuence , and drugs near them, but not all the people are traficcants and delincuents. La Legua is the principal "poblacion" in Santiago.
A funny thing in my city, are the streets dogs, in this part of the planet, we live and coexist with them, maybe, we are this a simple dogs on two legs.
